From February 25 to 26, Ambassador Li Xiang visited the North Red Sea Region, during which he met with Governor Ms. Asmeret Abraha.

Ambassador Li said that the North Red Sea Region is rich in natural and cultural resources, with significant potential for fisheries and tourism development. As the Chinese ambassador to Eritrea, he is ready to strengthen local cooperation with Eritrean counterparts and promote the China-Eritrea strategic partnership to new heights.

Governor Asmeret warmly welcomed Ambassador Li's visit and noted the long-standing friendship between Eritrea and China, highlighting their shared history of struggle for independence. She expressed hope for future cooperation in areas such as fisheries, agriculture, and human resources.
