The Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the State of Eritrea will take the ten fingerprints of all the applicants for Chinese visa from October 8, 2018 according to related Chinese laws and regulations. Therefore, Chinese visa applicants need to come to the Embassy in person. However, the following applicants are exempted from fingerprint-taking:

1. Applicants under the age of 14 years or over 70 years;

2. Applicants holding diplomatic passports or eligible for Chinese diplomatic, service and courtesy visa;

3. Applicants whose fingerprints have been taken while applying for Chinese visa in the Chinese Embassy in Eritrea holding the same passport within five years;

4. Applicants whose ten fingers are incomplete (misshapen).
