On November 6th, Ambassador Li Xiang visited Gash Barka Region and met with the Governor, Ambassador Mahmud Ali Hirui.

Ambassador Li Xiang introduced the six proposals and the "Ten Partnership Actions" put forward by President Xi Jinping at the Beijing Summit of the FOCAC for China and Africa to jointly promote modernization.He said that as the Chinese Ambassador to Eritrea, he is willing to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, be a listener of Eritrean government and people, and  a builder of friendship between the two Countries and practitioner to promote the practical cooperation.

Governor Ali said that Gash-Barka region has an important geographical location and rich resources.  Strengthening cooperation with China will better benefit the people of the two countries.
