On January 4, the Confucius Institute in Eritrea held a Chinese dance competition. Chargé d'Affaires Dai Demao of the Chinese Embassy in Eritrea attended and delivered a speech. 

Dai stated that dance is an art form that expresses emotions through the body and touches the soul with rhythm. It carries the essence of Chinese and Eritrean cultures and closely connects the feelings of the two peoples. This competition is the opening event of the 2026 "China-Africa Year of Cultural Exchange" in Eritrea. The Chinese Embassy in Eritrea will wholeheartedly organize various cultural activities this year to promote mutual learning between Chinese and Eritrean civilizations and enhance mutual understanding and traditional friendship between the two peoples.

The competition was filled with joyful and enthusiastic vibe, reflecting a strong sense of friendship between China and Eritrea.
