On July 30, Ambassador Li Xiang met with Comrade Yemane, the Head of Political Affairs of the People's Front for Democracy and Justice(PFDJ) and the political adviser to the President of Eritrea, introducing the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee.

Ambassador Li said that the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee made an overall plan for further deepening reform comprehensively with a view to advancing Chinese modernization, sending a strong signal to the outside world that China is firmly committed to further reform and opening up. China is willing to deepen exchanges of experience in governance with Eritrea, strengthen exchanges and mutual learning with the PFDJ, and jointly promote the cause of modernization.

Comrade Yemane warmly congratulated the successful convening of the plenary session and appreciated the positive signals sent by the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. Eritrea looks forward to strengthening exchanges on governance with China, deepening cooperation in various fields, and promote Eritrea-China relations.

The two sides also exchanged views on China-Eritrea relations and the situation in the Horn of Africa.
