On April 27, as the May Fourth Youth Day approaches, the Chinese Embassy in Eritrea and the National Union of Eritrean Youth and Students (NUEYS) jointly hosted a Chinese-Eritrean Youth Round-Table, focusing on the theme "Youth in Action: Contributing to National Development and Promoting China-Eritrea Cooperation."
Young diplomats from the Embassy introduced China’s 15th Five-Year Plan, China's zero tariffs treatment for African countries, and the "China-Africa Year of People-to-People Exchanges".

Eritrean youth representatives briefed the NUEYS’s efforts in youth capacity building and its participation in national development.
Dai Demao, Chargé d’Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Eritrea, encouraged youth from both China and Eritrea to seize the opportunity of "China-Africa Year of People-to-People Exchanges", demonstrate the power of youth and contribute to enhancing exchanges across all fields, advancing national development, and fostering friendly cooperation between China and Eritrea.
